We believe in the one true God – Creator of all, who governs all things according to the purpose of His will; we believe He co-exists as three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the entirety of the Bible as inspired by God, free from error and the source of truth, making us wise for salvation and equipping us for every good work.
We believe that Man, though created in the image of God, has sinned against God and is lost without Jesus Christ.
We believe there is salvation only through faith in Jesus Christ. He died on the cross so our sins may be forgiven and we could be reconciled to God. He was buried and after three days, was raised from the dead. Sin and death could not defeat Him.
We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who turn towards God in repentance and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe the reception of the Holy Spirit is a distinct, definite experience through which we are baptised into the body of Christ and equipped with spiritual gifts.
We believe and practice two ordinances. a) Water Baptism by Immersion after repentance and faith b) The Lord’s Table as a remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death.
We believe that the Church is the community of God’s people rather than an institution, with a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. She is the Bride of Christ and consists of all people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption.
We believe that the rapture of the Church will take place at the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ after the Great Tribulation.
[While this perspective differs from the common teaching in Evangelical/Pentecostal circles, our understanding of the various Scripture passages inclines us to hold to this view. We affirm, however, that it is more important for believers to await the coming of their Lord with sincere faith, steadfast hope and fervent love than to make dogmatic assertions about the timing of the Rapture.]
We believe in eternal life and judgment. Those who have committed their lives to following Jesus will spend eternity with Him. However those who have not will be punished for their sins and thrown into the lake of fire.
